Rainbow Bead Blanket (Supplies List)

If you’re looking for links to the supplies I’m using for my Rainbow Bead Blanket, you’ve come to the right place!

Supplies:

I am part of the Amazon Affiliates Program, so the following Amazon links are ad links. Your products won’t cost more, but I’ll earn a small commission on each purchase you make.

The Joann links are not part of this program – I just love their yarn!

3.75mm Clover Armour Hook: The Clover Armour hooks are my favorite, especially for projects like this that use a smaller hook size. The heads on these hooks are big enough to use worsted weight yarn, but small enough to pass through the pony beads.

Big Twist Value Yarn: I am making mine using the “White” colorway. I’ll likely use two full skeins of the pound plus size.

The Sparkles Pony Bead Box: I purchased six of these to have enough beads for a 5′ x 5′ blanket. I liked that they already came organized in a perfect color combo for the project! If you plan on making a smaller blanket, you won’t need nearly as many.

  1. hello i saw your projects on tiktok, im a big fan of weighted blankets, but not being able to wash them is a big problem, i also love crocheting and knitting, so this is a logical choice, in itself everything is clear only the size of YOUR blanket is not, 5×5 means? you say you use 6 of those boxes of beads, quickly calculated that is 138000, that is a lot

    kind regards Angela Ultee Netherlands

    1. In the United States, one apostrophe is an abbreviation for feet, so the blanket is 5 feet by 5 feet (just over 1.5 meters). The beads come out to 13,800 – I’ve used 8,100 and suspect I’ll be using between 10,000 and 12,000 by the time I’m done.
